Selina is a partner in our Life Sciences Health Industry Group, resident in the Washington, D.C. office. She focuses her practice on regulatory and litigation matters.
Selina assists her health care clients in responding to government investigations of Medicare and Medicaid billing matters, conducting internal investigations of compliance matters, defending cases brought by whistleblowers on behalf of the government, and preparing self-disclosures to resolve Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other fraud-and-abuse matters. Her clients include retail pharmacy chains and hospitals. She has represented national retail pharmacy chains in multiple types of actions alleging that the pharmacies should have reported pharmacy club prices as their usual and customary prices, including in the context of False Claims Act cases and national putative class actions.
Selina regularly speaks and writes on topics that affect her clients’ health care business, such as emerging risks in pharmacy enforcement, developments related to the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, reporting and returning overpayments, and conducting internal investigations remotely.
Selina has served as the financial officer of the DC Bar Health Law Section’s Steering Committee, the co-chair of the DC Bar Health Law Section’s Steering Committee, and the chair of the DC Bar Health Law Section’s Programs Committee. Before beginning private practice, Selina clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
