The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which became effective in 2018, imposes severe restrictions on the processing and transfer of documents and data from Europe and the UK. Yet, U.S. judges and regulatory authorities expect organizations to produce relevant requested information regardless of where it may be located. Violations of either the GDPR or U.S. discovery obligations can subject companies to severe penalties. In this program, we will explain these challenges and potential solutions.
