Carole has been involved in the real estate sector for over 13 years, acting on behalf of French and international clients and for all kinds of assets: offices, warehouses, hotels, housing, retail, and also alternative assets (student or senior housing, schools, rented social housing, health assets, data centers, telecom towers). She has conducted large scale real estate transactions (acquisition, financing, JV) and property development transactions in France and Maghreb, and advises its clients on real property management issues (leases, mandates, ect.).
Carole has developed specific expertise in cross border transactions. In particular, she has assisted French clients in Germany, the UK, Belgium, Austria, Italy and North Africa, and acts on European portfolio transactions governed by French, English or German law, with the assistance of the competent offices and partners.
Carole is part of the firm’s global environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice. She has a particular focus on the real estate aspects of ESG and regularly advises on sustainable real estate investment, sustainable finance, environmental considerations, energy-efficient development, and green leases.
She obtained a Master 2 “Real estate and construction law” from the Paris II Panthéon-Assas university. Carole was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2010. She started her career as an associate at Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2010, and then joined Freshfields, Bruckhaus, Deringer in 2013. After an international experience at Allen & Overy Morocco, she returned to Freshfields, Bruckhaus Deringer in 2017 where she was promoted Counsel and headed the real estate group.
