Our lawyers hold prestigious positions in the arbitral community, including being one of the 10 Americans first appointed by the U.S. government to advise the NAFTA Commission on the development and promotion of international arbitration and dispute resolution in the region, and later invited by the U.S. Department of State to serve as expert for its delegation to the Organization of American States’ private international law conference; being appointed as a board member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators’ (CIArb) North America branch and later nominated to lead the opening of its regional office in Miami; and being appointed Executive Committee member and revenue officer of the ABA Section of International Law. Multiple lawyers are also involved in the drafting of the American Law Institute’s Restatement of Law on International Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration.
